Just installed the game from Steam.

Plan is to finish this game over the following weekend. I am most likely going to stream this for my friend.

Playing this on my ALDERLAKE machine at 2560x1440. When I finish this game, this will be the only series (to my recollection) that I finished all the games. Its only 3 games though. It would be an achievement worth bragging on the internet if I finished all the games all the Assassin’s Creed games - that’s something that will never happen because I just quit enjoying them after Odyssey.

I am going to stop for now and probably resume over the weekend. Or I might play during the week also. I feel free after I passed the exam. Its unusual for me to play games during the week.

About to call it a day at work. Going to start playing and streaming FEAR 3 in a bit. I hope I get to finish this game over the weekend.

I also want to write a review of Far Cry 4 over the weekend. This weekend is going to be busy.

Bought a new Acer Nitro KG271U monitor yesterday. This will be the first game to play on the new monitor.

Streamed the game. Very surprised at the graphics. Game looks very good. This is definitely a sleeper hit for me. Going to take a break and play some more. They should not have made this a console cover shooter. There were parts of the game that are genuinely good. The problem is, it has that early 2000s console shooter feel. Every game back then was trying to be Call of Duty, and its very obvious.

I may have just played the most impressive horror level in a long time. Nothing actually happens, but the whole setting is beyond creepy and it is extremely well made. It sucks that the studio that made this no longer exists, because the talent for making great looking shooters is definitely there. I am going to edit some of the clips I made and then go back to playing. Maybe. Or I might just wait until tomorrow morning to do so.

Played and streamed for 2+ hours. I have to say the later levels surprised me. They look very good. Especially the suburbs. Very creepy. Lot of fun, but the game play was getting very repetitive, so taking a break.

Finished the game. The final two missions are probably one of the worst levels I played in recent memory. Almost made me want to quit the game. I don’t even know where to begin. After playing those, I feel like I know why this franchise died. Its hard to come back from this kind of a mess. What is unfortunate is that there is a fantastic game buried underneath the stupid design decisions. Instead of making an immersive shooter, they tried to appeal to achievement hunters and cover shooter fans on console. F.E.A.R was never that kind of a game.

It could have been an all time classic, but as such it is a let down.

I streamed the entire game for my friend. I had fun streaming, but I did not have fun playing the final two levels of the game.

RIP F.E.A.R. There was potential for greatness, but the people making decisions had a terrible vision for the game. Sad.
