Installing the game via UbiSoft Connect. Eew. I wish I had this game on Steam. Wouldn’t have made much of a difference because I would still need UbiSoft Connect, but at least I could get reliable time tracking.
I am looking forward to playing this game. I heard good things about it. Far Cry 3 was a good game. I don’t know if UbiSoft bloat is particularly bad in this one.

Finished installing. The game supports ultrawide resolution. Excellent. I am excited for it. I am not going to play today. There are things I need to finish. I will also publish some posts and prepare for work tomorrow. I will get back to this some time this week. I am taking off on 5/5 and 5/6. Might play during those days if I get the chance.

Woke up pretty early but spent time on infinitebacklog.net instead. I got my coffee, time to play some Far Cry 4. Also realized that UbiSoft Connect does not keep track of gameplay time. What a useless piece of bloatware. I must have gotten the game for really cheap or even free to have it only on UbiSoft Connect and not on Steam.

Finished one of the missions. Given a choice of missions between the girl boss character and the wimpy guy character. Went with the guy.
Map scrolling is very bad. Unskippable cutscenes. Super boring. Loot management is lame. Constantly keep running out of room because a feather takes the same room as an animal skin. Not weight-based.
Still a good game. Enjoying it.
Running the game via Steam will track time. Ubisoft Connect is very bad.

I just saw the whole hawk getting the rabbit scene in Far Cry 4. I was very impressed by this in RDR2. Seems like Far Cry 4 did this first. In true UbiSoft fashion, it doesn’t feel as polished as RDR2. Still though, credit where credit is due. So far, the open world in Far Cry 4 is quite good. I think it’s better than Far Cry 3.

I don’t mind this headset at all. My only complaint is that the cord is a little shorter than I would have liked. Also finished a few missions. Liking the game. I think it’s a good game. I hope they made Far Cry 5 a lot better than this.

Finished city of pain level. Good stealth level, but AI in Far Cry 4 is not excellent. Very easy to cheese the game. Going to eat and call it a night. Will play some more tomorrow. Next week is hellish, so I won’t get a chance for a while.

The Shangri-La mission is pretty crazy. Very much a Far Cry mission. It’s played in a drug-induced state. I can’t record videos like I used to anymore because storage is so expensive. A 22TB drive used to cost $230 about a year ago, and it is now $629. I have to be careful about using up the storage on my NAS.
I am going to play more soon. I will get something to eat now.

Passed my KCNA exam earlier this afternoon. Victory! Went grocery shopping, and now it’s Far Cry time.
Streamed the game a bit for a friend. Played for a couple of hours and completed 3 campaign missions, which included capturing a fort. I feel like I have seen everything I needed to see in the game. I still want to finish the game, but it’s not a top-tier game. Enemy AI is not great. Better AI would have made this game better.

Finished that irritating mission. There is a spot in that mission that reminds me of Tintin in Tibet comic. Very nice. Mission sucked, but the ending was nice.
Also finished the mission to capture the Kings Bridge. Will call it a day for now.

Finished the game while I was on stream with my friend. It was a good time. The end was interesting. I ended the game very abruptly.
I enjoyed the game, but the AI is very basic.
